Freshly Made Sketch #10: winter wonderland

well, i'm back to crafting finally. i have been going through a few weeks of sickness, still am, but my creative energy has built back up. yesterday was my birthday. i just turned 25. yikes. i need to finish college, get married, and have some a child or 2 before i turn 30. how can i find the time? this was the best birthday i've had though, primarily because i have the best boyfriend ever. i just got a little lucky i suppose. =] anyways, this week's sketch inspired me, however, i got a little carried away with being creative with the sketch and now it is almost unrecognizable as the sketch. OOPS! i still like this card though. hope y'all like it too. here was this week's sketch over at Freshy Made Sketches.

here is my take on the sketch!

i started with blue card stock. i cut out the piece of glitter blue paper and used a scallop punch on the bottom of it. i then cut out the polka-dot paper and rounded the corners. i placed that on dimensionals. then i cut out the snowflake from some really beautiful patterned paper with a circle scallop punch. i did not place it on dimensionals. i added ribbon and stamped the "winter wonderland" sentiment in black pigment ink.
